Our Story

Al Mac’s Diner has been a staple in our community since 1953. Our historic restaurant has been a favorite stop for politicians on and off the campaign trail. Under new ownership, since May of 2019, Cliff Ponte and his family have worked hard to provide a great homemade experience. All our food is cooked to order with fresh ingredients at an affordable price. Our family has one goal “ provide you with great food at an affordable price.

Our new updated menu offers many mouth-watering dishes. If you are picking up your food “ To-Go” or if you are looking to dine in our restaurant – our hope is that you will truly enjoy your experience with us. Our new menu has many new items, award winning pancakes and grilled sweetbread. Delicious lunch/dinner items are all homemade and cooked to order. We love doing our part to feed the local community. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent selection on their menu. Good prices and relatively clean restaurant. We really loved their Portuguese sweet bread french toast. They made special Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids too. We are planning on visiting again soon.

A nice diner experience. They recently re-opened under new management. Every one in our group thought the food was delicious and our server, Eden, was great. Very attentive and friendly. They do all-day breakfast and lunch. Reasonable prices and plenty of parking.

THEY'RE BACK! Filling portions, great prices, friendly and attentive staff. Please make it a priority to visit this Fall River institution as soon as possible! My eggs were cooked perfectly, the homefries were the perfect mix of crunchy and soft, and the toast was excellent.

Food was amazing. Sam the server was great. We even enjoyed the music selection. Panko chicken and waffles with a side of crispy hash was better than expected. 3 egg with chorizo and thick, buttery grilled Portuguese bread was also wonderful.

I knew this place was going to be good from the 1st sip of my coffee. They have done a fantastic job remodeling/preserving the interior of the diner. While the breakfast menu is pretty basic the food is very good and there is lots of it in your order. Our server, Jared, was exceptional.
